** SUCCESS, FULFILLMENT & JOY IN LIFE by Graham White **
----------------------------------------------------

Life may be difficult and unfair, but we're in control and we have the ability to make the choices that affect our life.

Success is a process that begins at birth.  Our success is strongly affected by the circumstances of our youth, but we ultimately gain control as we grow older.

  • 90% of who we are is created between the ages of 3 & 5.

  • Children will continue to live the mistakes of their parents unless the cycle is broken.

  • Our parents did the best they knew how.  If they knew better they would have done better.

  • Parenting is learned, not instinctual.  As we  know better, we will do better.

  • The ability to choose, to not be controlled, is the one gift God has given us.  It's the same gift we need to give our children.

  • We can't change the past, we're only in control of the present.

  • From this point on, the only person who can change our destiny is us.

  • We have each been given unique gifts.  Identifying what they are and beginning to life our true purpose is what will bring us the sense of fulfillment that we all long for.

  • Without love, we can achieve nothing.  If we don't love ourselves, we will never be able to love others.

  • If we are alone we must first be loved.  Love can come from a friend, our family, a stranger or from our experience of God.

  • As long as we hold on to the past, live in bitterness, frustration and hate, we will never succeed.

  • We must forgive, seek forgiveness and move on.

  • We must stop thinking we can't do it, that we're not good enough and reclaim the belief we had in ourselves as children.

  • We have to overcome our fear of the opinion of others.

  • To achieve our dream, we must believe in purpose and our potential.

  • The first step in growth & change is to acknowledge we have a need.

  • We need to be open and honest with ourselves and willing to do the hard work it takes to succeed.

  • Different results come when we begin to think differently.

  • Our mind will attempt to answer any question we ask it.

  • To get better answers, we must start asking better questions.

  • We won't be successful until we recognize that we can't do it alone.

  • Personal development for it's own sake is not the answer.

  • We need to focus on how we can enhance others and the world around us and use that to motivate us to develop ourselves.

  • We must be surrounded by people that move us towards our goal.

  • Ultimately, happiness and fulfillment are about giving of ourselves to others, being needed and feeling like we matter.

  • We don't really want money, fame, power or prestige, we want the feelings we associate with them.

  • Neither greed nor the lack of money are the key to fulfillment.

  • Financial success is not about how much you make, but how much you keep.  It's about managing money, so that it doesn't manage you.

  • We will not feel truly fulfilled until we achieve balance.

  • We need to identify what works and then do what works.

  • We must begin the process with the end in mind.

  • We must be organized in our process.

  •  Identify and work on the problem, rather than the symptoms.

  • Change begins to happen when we have an experience that creates 100% commitment to achieve our goal.

  • We can wait until we "bottom-out" or choose to put ourselves through exercises that force us to "get real".

  • Goal setting must be done in a specific, structured way to create the results we desire.

  • Set your goals around the type of person you want to be rather than the types of things you want to do or acquire.

  • Reading, thinking and discussion have much less power than writing down what we intend to do.  A contract creates action.

  • Success comes to those who are willing to do what is difficult.

  • Failure is part of the path to success and it is adversity that teaches us.

  • We will overcome challenges that bring us closer to our core desires.

  • Our core desires help us identify our true purpose and potential.

  • We all have a unique purpose and destiny to fulfill.

  • Achieving our potential is more than our choice, it's our responsibility.

  • Remember, achieving the goal is only a small part of the process.  If you're not enjoying the journey itself, you're missing out on the biggest part!
