ENJOY THE MOMENT
Much of our lives are taken up by mundane tasks such as housework and catching up on paperwork.  Listen to music, be outside, whatever or gives you energy and makes you feel good to get the job done faster.

GET ENOUGH REST

You can get 5X as much done on a day off if you don’t stay up late and wake up tired.  Don’t waste time by mind-numbing yourself in front of the TV until the wee hours of the night.  Cancel your cable, put your power on a timer and give someone else the key.

SIMPLIFY

What most people think they can achieve in a given amount of time is unrealistic.  We make to-do lists that are near impossible to accomplish, and we beat ourselves up for not completing.  So we add what we didn't do today to the astronomical list of tomorrow, and the effect snowballs to the point where we cry, "I can't get ANYTHING done - there's just not enough time to do it!" Simplify.  What MUST be done today?  When those are done, then what other things would you like to do if you have some more time?

TAKE SHORT BREAKS
If you take 15 minutes to relax, you’ll have more energy to finish big tasks.

A CHANGE IS AS GOOD AS A REST
If you have a number of chores to get done, block your time so that you’re spending just 15 minutes doing one before moving on to another. This makes you feel like you’ll be done what you don’t enjoy faster.

LAUGH
Spend time every day with a smile on your face.  Watch a comedy (just one), read a joke, have a FAR SIDE calendar on your desk etc.

AIM FOR EXCELLENCE, NOT PERFECTION
Perfection wastes time.  That last 1% will take almost as much time as the first 99%.  Get twice as much done and be satisfied with excellence.

BE UNAVAILABLE
Have time every day where you turn off your cell phone, your pager etc. Make sure you have time for you.  Even the President takes vacations. 

GET RID OF CLUTTER
Keep a minimum of a clean kitchen, clean car and clean office.

STAY HEALTHY
Eat right and exercise.  Heart attacks are a waste of time.

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND EAT GOOD FOOD
You’ve heard it a million times.  Now plan on how you can do it.
